About Us

National Homeownership Fund — overview, mission, vision, and values.

Who we are

The National Homeownership Fund (NHF) is a government-backed Fund with the mandate to increase access to affordable homeownership in Ghana, targeting first-time homebuyers.

The Fund partners financial institutions to support the development of mortgage finance and facilitate innovative products that support homeownership in Ghana.

NHF’s strategy addresses both the demand and supply of affordable housing. On the demand side, the company partners labour unions to develop and update a national database of prospective homeowners. It also works with financial institutions to develop the mortgage pillar of the housing market as well as Real Estate Investments that guarantee off-takers in the affordable housing sector.

On the supply side, the Fund partners private and public sector developers to develop affordable houses that meet the demands of low and middle-income workers.
